Katja Lehnert
Katja Lehnert is Pet Dog Training Manager at Jasada K9 who comes to us from Germany and is a certified animal psychologist specialising in dogs.
Since achieving her Diploma in Animal Psychology from the Academy of Animal Naturopathy in Switzerland in 2004, Katja has been travelling and working internationally training with canines and handlers in a wide field of disciplines for both pet and working dogs. Katja ‘s experience also consists of the coaching of herding dog training under renowned herding dog trainer Dale Formosa.
Katja continually updates her education and skill attending ongoing seminars conducted international industry experts. Katja specialises in puppy foundation, pet dog training and canine behavioural problem solving.

Rebecca Hedges
Rebecca’s is experienced in caring for various pets including guinea pigs, rabbits, tropical & salt water fish aquariums and hermit crabs. She owns 2 large dogs, a cat, 2 cockateils, fish & a turtle.
She has fostered dogs from AWL in the past. Both her dogs are rescue dogs who came to her with some major behavioural & emotional issues. One was dog agressive and the other scared and unable to socialise with other humans. She worked with 2 Professional Dog Trainers at her home and has seen great improvement in her dogs.
Rebecca has a reptile licence and an interest in dog training & behaviour. She is a keen student of Cesar Milan and has found that his techniques have changed both her dog’s lives and hers. She believes that dogs need a calm, assertive pack leader and uses this knowledge when handling dogs.
Rebecca is also a qualified Registered Nurse & Ambulance Paramedic and has no concerns administering medications including oral, eye medications and injections.

Doug and Jacqui have been married for 34 years, have two sons and are both from rural and farming backgrounds. Pets have been an integral part of their lives and they have enjoyed the love and devotion of numerous dogs and cats from puppy- and kitten-hood through to mellow senior years. Guinea pigs, birds and other pets have featured in their menageries and they have hand-reared puppies and kittens.
As pet-carers, Doug & Jacqui are able to enjoy the interaction with the animals and ensure they get the same loving care and attention they would want their beloved pets to receive if they had to leave them for any length of time.
